At KBIS 2026, North America’s largest kitchen and bathroom exhibition held in Orlando, global home appliance giants launched a new wave of ultra-premium, AI-powered products, escalating competition in the high-end market.
LG Electronics expanded its premium SKS lineup beyond kitchen appliances, unveiling the SKS Laundry Solution—including the SKS Wash Combo and SKS Dryer, the first laundry appliances under the SKS brand. These machines use deep learning AI to analyze fabric type, dirt level, and load size, adjusting drum rotation across six motions for precise care. LG also introduced a 36-inch Full-Flex Induction Cooktop that automatically regulates heat based on cookware placement.
Samsung showcased its Bespoke AI kitchen suite, featuring a smart refrigerator with enhanced food recognition and an AI oven that learns user cooking habits to suggest recipes and adjust temperatures. The lineup emphasizes seamless integration and personalized control via the SmartThings app.
GE Appliances presented a connected kitchen ecosystem with AI-powered ovens, dishwashers, and refrigerators that sync with each other and smart home devices. Its new Pro Series refrigerator includes a built-in beverage center and advanced inventory tracking.
Industry analysts note the shift toward ultra-premium appliances reflects growing consumer demand for personalized, intelligent home solutions. While prices remain high, the market for AI-integrated premium appliances is expanding rapidly, with brands competing to offer unique features and superior user experiences.
