Responsible Development of AI in Global Home Appliance Industry

On March 22, 2025, the 2025 International Roundtable of Home Appliance Manufacturers Associations (IRHMA2025), hosted by the China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA) on a rotating basis, was held in Shanghai. Facing the challenges of artificial intelligence, under the leadership of the CHEAA, the IRHMA members formed the IRHMA2025 Common Statement on the Responsible Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Global Home Appliance Industry.

IRHMA members advocate that the global home appliance industry should develop and utilize artificial intelligence in a responsible manner, promote innovation, improve sustainability, and create a safer and more efficient home environment. They promise to lead the global home appliance industry to jointly shape the future of artificial intelligence and will continue to cooperate on the basis of social responsibility to promote innovation and technological progress, ensuring that artificial intelligence brings a better life to every family around the world. The statement was officially released on April 9 after being confirmed internally by IRHMA members.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is changing human life and the industrial landscape. As an industry closely connected to the daily lives of global consumers, the home appliance industry is at the forefront of this technological change. Therefore, the IRHMA, representing the global home appliance industry, is committed to creating a future where AI is seamlessly integrated with home appliances to enhance the quality of life of consumers. The global home appliance industry will develop and utilize artificial intelligence in a responsible way, promoting innovation, improving sustainability, and creating a safer and more efficient home environment. This commitment reflects our consistent goal of providing world - leading technology for the benefit of consumers, society, and the environment.

The integration and application of artificial intelligence technology will further promote the innovation of the home appliance industry and accelerate the upgrading of products and services.
