London, Oct 12 – The global market for pet - focused home appliances is set to hit $18 billion by 2030, according to a new report from market research firm Statista, driven by soaring pet ownership rates and owners’ willingness to splurge on their furry companions.
From smart feeders that dispense meals on a preset schedule to self - cleaning litter boxes and air purifiers tailored to remove pet dander and odors, manufacturers are racing to roll out products that blend convenience with pet well - being.
Retail giant Amazon reported a 72% year - on - year jump in sales of pet smart appliances in the first half of this year, with smart water fountains and pet hair - specific vacuum cleaners topping the bestseller lists. “Pet owners are no longer just buying basic supplies—they want appliances that make caring for pets easier while also fitting into their modern, tech - driven homes,” said Sarah Jenkins, an Amazon home goods category manager.
Brands like iRobot have jumped on the trend, updating their Roomba robot vacuums with pet hair boost technology that automatically increases suction power when it detects clusters of fur on carpets or hardwood floors.
