The global market for pet-focused home appliances is projected to hit $18.2 billion by 2030, according to a new report from Grand View Research, driven by rising pet humanization and smart home adoption.

Brands like LG and Whirlpool are rolling out innovative products to cater to busy pet owners. LG’s latest robotic vacuum, for instance, features a specialized pet hair removal system with dual rotating brushes that capture 99% of fur from carpets and upholstery, while its air purifiers come with a pet dander filter to reduce allergens. Whirlpool, on the other hand, has launched a smart pet feeder that syncs with smartphones, allowing users to schedule meals, adjust portion sizes, and even monitor a pet’s eating habits in real time.

Pet owners are also embracing appliances that prioritize their pets’ comfort. Smart pet beds with temperature control are gaining traction, especially in extreme climates, as they keep furry friends cool in summer and warm in winter without relying on household heating or cooling systems. Some high-end models even track a pet’s sleep patterns and send data to the owner’s phone, helping identify potential health issues early.

Industry experts note that the trend is not just about convenience—it’s about integrating pets into the smart home ecosystem seamlessly. “Pets are no longer just pets; they are family members,” says Maria Gonzalez, a consumer tech analyst. “Appliance manufacturers are recognizing this and creating tools that let users manage, not just keep, their pets happy and healthy.”

The growth is particularly pronounced in North America and Europe, where pet ownership rates are high and consumers are willing to pay extra for quality pet tech products.
